We also operate a strict social media usage policy to protect our team, charity integrity and to ensure transparency across our communications. Although we don’t make this policy publicly accessible through our website, it makes it clear that shared and liked posts do not indicate endorsement, that social media postings are not formal statements and that communications may be terminated at any point by “blocking” the user to protect our team. Our number one priority is protection of our team and contractors and we therefore enforce a strict policy of blocking those who make false assertions, troll or spread misinformation and identifiable information about our team. We are currently devising a set of “Social Media House Rules” that we hope to roll out in the coming months to help protect our community.
